Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Blokr Inc. (“Blokr”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use useblokr.com, the Blokr dashboard, and any public booking page hosted on our platform (e.g. useblokr.com/@username). By using Blokr, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number, and password (or Google sign-in credentials) when a professional creates a Blokr account.
  • Professional profile data — bio, services, pricing, availability, custom @username slug, and any content added to a public booking page.
  • Booking data — name, phone number, and any details a client submits when booking a session with a professional on Blokr.
  • Calendar data — when a professional connects Google Calendar, we access free/busy information to mask unavailable time slots and create calendar events (with Google Meet links) upon confirmed bookings. We request only the calendar scopes required for this functionality.
  • Payment data — payments are processed by Paystack. Blokr does not collect or store full card numbers, CVV, or other sensitive cardholder data; this is handled directly by Paystack’s PCI-compliant infrastructure. We do store transaction references, amounts, and settlement status to power dashboards and receipts.
  • Bank settlement details — a professional’s Nigerian bank account (NUBAN) details, used solely to route Paystack settlements to the correct account.
  • Communications data — when a WhatsApp reminder link (wa.me) is generated, the recipient phone number and message content are used to construct the link. Blokr does not store or access WhatsApp message contents beyond generating this link.
  • Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and cookies used for authentication, security, and basic analytics.

2. How We Use Information

  • Create and manage professional and client accounts.
  • Operate the booking flow, including the temporary slot hold used to prevent double-booking.
  • Process payments and settlements through Paystack.
  • Sync calendar availability and create calendar events.
  • Send booking confirmations and reminders.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • Improve and maintain the reliability of the Blokr platform.

3. How Information Is Shared

We share information only as necessary to operate Blokr:

  • Between clients and professionals — booking details necessary to fulfil an appointment are shared with the professional a client books with.
  • Paystack — to process payments and settle funds to a professional’s bank account.
  • Google — to enable two-way calendar sync and generate Google Meet links, when a professional connects their Google Calendar.
  • WhatsApp — reminder links are generated using the wa.me format; Blokr does not transmit data to WhatsApp’s servers on your behalf.
  • Service providers — hosting, infrastructure, and analytics vendors who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements — where required to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain account, booking, and transaction data for as long as an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to records we are required to retain by law.

5. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access, correct, or update your account information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Disconnect your Google Calendar integration at any time from the dashboard.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications; transactional messages related to active bookings cannot be opted out of while a booking is pending.
  • Control cookies through your browser settings, noting some features may not function without essential cookies.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and secure webhook verification for payment events. No storage of raw cardholder data occurs on Blokr systems — this responsibility sits with our PCI-compliant payment processor, Paystack. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Blokr is not directed at individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8. International Users & Data Transfers

Blokr is operated from Nigeria. If you access Blokr from outside Nigeria, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Nigeria or other countries where our service providers operate. By using Blokr, you consent to this transfer.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Blokr after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
